As the programming and community-engaged research arm of the Africana Studies Program in the IU School of Liberal Arts in Indianapolis, the Center for Africana Studies and Culture engages in research and creative activity related to the study of Africa and the African Diaspora.
This research and creative activity also supports the teaching and work of the Africana Studies Program by providing opportunities for faculty and students to engage in public scholarship and research that explores diverse and wide-ranging depictions of the depth and breadth of the Black intellectual tradition.
