The Center for Africana Studies and Culture (CASC) was founded in 2020 as the programming and community-engaged research arm of the Africana Studies Program in the IU School of Liberal Arts in Indianapolis.
The work of the center broadens the scope of the Africana Studies Program, increasing opportunities for public scholarship, professional learning, undergraduate research, and community-engaged cultural and research programming.
The center has offices in the School of Liberal Arts and in the Madam Walker Legacy Center.
